ROAD & TRANSPORT SAFETY POLICY
YING DE CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is dedicated to ensuring that all company and subcontractor vehicles are operated with the highest levels of safety, responsibility, and professionalism. Our objective is to prevent road accidents, protect lives, and preserve company assets by adhering to best driving practices and full compliance with UAE traffic regulations.
Policy Requirements:
All drivers must possess valid UAE driving licenses and pass required medical fitness assessments.
All vehicles shall undergo regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and continuous monitoring through IVMS systems.
Long-distance journeys must be supported by an approved Journey Management Plan (JMP).
Vehicles must be equipped with essential safety gear, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and reflectors.
Driver Responsibilities:
Always wear seat belts and ensure all passengers do the same.
Refrain from using mobile phones or any distracting devices while driving.
Do not drive under fatigue, or under the influence of alcohol or medications that impair alertness and judgment.
Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or breakdowns immediately to the site transport officer.
Turn off the engine during refueling and avoid unnecessary idling.
Good Driving Practices:
Drive defensively and maintain a safe following distance at all times.
Use turn signals early and avoid sudden or unsafe lane changes.
Keep headlights on during low visibility conditions or nighttime operations.
Follow designated reverse parking procedures and strictly observe speed limits within site premises.
Fog and Night Driving Rules:
Suspend driving operations when visibility is below 25 meters.
Restrict driving to local routes only when visibility ranges between 25 and 100 meters.
Night driving on desert or unpaved roads is strictly prohibited unless explicitly approved by the Project Manager for emergency purposes.
This policy is mandatory for all YING DE employees and subcontractors. It is subject to regular review to ensure ongoing compliance, safety enhancement, and continuous improvement.
